The words of Jesus are the foundation of our efforts in mission at CPC.

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 28:18-20

"God is calling CPC into the great commission. Missions is here to help CPCers engage in God's work, locally, regionally and internationally." We want people of all nations to put their faith in Jesus Christ and live as His disciples.  We believe that these core commitments can transform communities, nations and the world.

Our Strategy

1. Discernment: We are committed to applying CPC resources for maximum kingdom impact. We test all opportunities against scripture and CPC mission policies.

We currently have 48 Mission Partners that we support financially, prayerfully and through Mission Committee liaisons. In addition, CPC's vision initiative led us to the Village of Sintaro, Ethiopia, which will result in the education of 400+ children, health and hygiene improvement for the entire village and most importantly, helping the churches of Sintaro becoming more vital and effective in sharing the Gospel.

Our Vision also comes with a commitment to increase our involvement in urban ministry. We are currently working with our Mission Partners in the inner cities of Richmond, Oakland and San Francisco to increase our participation and ministry impact.

2. Communication:  We are committed to maintaining strong relationships with all of our Mission Partners.  Liaisons communicate regularly and Mission Partners present in-person updates at our monthly meetings.

Our church website is an excellent resource for CPC members to access information and links to CPC MissionPartners.

3. Connection: We grow when we serve. Our missions team is committed to connecting any interested CPCer in a place of service.  Our Mission Partners have many opportunities for involvement.  CPC has individuals and teams that serve regularly in Oakland, San Francisco, Richmond and Livermore, to name just a few!

CPC sends short-term teams to Bulgaria, Uganda, Ethiopia, Mexico and other countries as well.Food drives, special offerings and unique opportunities to serve and give are a part of our annual rhythm at CPC. No matter who you are, there is a way to connect in missions!
