Generosity at CPC
In the book of Acts, the first community of Christians demonstrated radical generosity with their money and possessions because they were rooted in the assurance of Christ’s love (Acts 2:42-47). It was the quality of their generous community and they way they lived out their faith that revealed the reality of lives changed by the gospel and served as a witness to others.
CPC wants to be a community of Christians who live sacrificially generous lives so that our neighbors near and far witness the gospel through us. From opening our homes, to forgiving someone who hurts us, to using our power and influence for the good of others, generosity takes many forms, including financial giving. Living a biblically generous life enables us to contribute to God’s purpose for CPC: reaching people and following Jesus.
