KIDS AGAINST HUNGER

Together We Rise’s vision is to improve the lives of children in foster care, who often find themselves forgotten and neglected by the greater community. They collaborate to bring resources to foster youth and use service-learning activities to educate volunteers on issues surrounding the foster care system.

SAN FRANCISCO CITY IMPACT
Location: CPC Campus
Type of work: Assembly
Volunteers needed: 40 per shift

San Francisco City Impact exists to intervene on behalf of the people in the inner city of San Francisco.  City Impact provided relief programs such as feeding, health care and social services while helping them break unhealthy cycles through education, leadership training and spiritual transformation.  Join us as we put together care bags for homeless and shut-ins.

LIONS CLUB
Location: CPC Campus
Type of work: Cleaning Eye Wear
Volunteers needed: 40 per shift
Ideal for: every age and stage
Time Commitment: 9am to 10:30am and 11am to 12:30pm
Lions collect new and recycled eyeglasses and hearing aids; clean them; and then hand them out on missions around the world. They have worked on projects designed to prevent blindness, restore eyesight and improve eye health and eye care for hundreds of millions of people worldwide. Join us to wash and organize glasses!

MEALS ON WHEELS

Ten million seniors face the threat of hunger, and millions more live alone in isolation. We need you to join a new generation of Meals on Wheels volunteers today! Join us to assemble cutlery along with a special Christmas ornament and thoughtful card!

BLUE STAR MOMS

Following in the footstep of our grandmothers and mothers, Blue Star Moms have mailed “a little bit of home” to our sons and daughters serving around the world.  Join us as we put together care bags to be sent overseas.

LOAVES AND FISHES

The mission of Loaves and Fishes of Contra Costa is to provide community based food programs and partner services that focus on basic needs. Join us to assemble 200 Toiletry Packets!  About 40% of the clients who eat at Loaves and Fishes are homeless and are in need of basic hygiene items.

CITYTEAM

CityTeam is founded on meeting local needs. Their programs offer help and hope to those in need with hot meals, shelter, life transformation programs, clothing, hygiene items, learning and career help, discovery Bible studies, and so much more.  We will be putting together care bags for men and women.     

PROJECT LINUS
Location: CPC Campus
Type of work: Making Fleece Blanket
Volunteers needed: 30
Ideal for: every age and stage
Time Commitment: 9am to 10:30am and 11am to 12:30pm
Project Linus provides love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.” Join us to make no-sew fleece blankets for the Linus Project.            

TEEN ESTEEM
Location: CPC Campus
Type of work: Assembling key chains
Volunteers needed: 20 per shift
Ideal for: age 5 and older
Time Commitment: 9am to 10:30am and 11am to 12:30pm
Join us in making these amazing key chains to be given to each student after Teen Esteem school presentations. Teen Esteem educates and empowers students, parents, educators and the community on challenges young people face.
