A update from our Executive Pastor on the recent COVID restrictions:
November 17, 2020
In light of Contra Costa County moving into the purple tier for COVID-19, we want to keep you informed of how CPC is responding to this situation.
Throughout the pandemic, we have adhered to the County Health Department’s guidance and mandates and we will continue to do so. The County has the authority to strengthen mandates based on local transmission data. Having been moved to the Purple Tier, the following changes become necessary effective immediately:
Indoor gatherings and in-person worship are no longer permitted therefore all worship services will return to on-line only.
The in-person baptisms set for Thursday, November 19 are being rescheduled.
All Ministry meetings i.e., Women’s Ministries, Men’s Fraternity, ROCK, Wildside, and Five-Six, etc., can no longer meet indoors or outdoors and in-person. (Exception: In-person ministry meetings can occur outdoors only so long as no more than three (3) households and less than 25 people attend.)
All CPC Staff must work remotely with the exception of essential service employees in Facilities, Accounting and the Counseling Center.
The following will continue as planned:
The San Ramon Valley Christian Academy will continue with on-campus instruction per our agreement and in compliance with the County’s guidance.
We know this has been a discouraging season for so many, with uncertainty, stress, frustration and fear. Our goal as we return to online services and student programming is that we can come together as a church family and find hope in the peace that God brings. We are praying FOR you and we encourage you to stay connected with us and with each other through our online weekend church services and Zoom small groups.
As God’s word reminds us from Isaiah 41:10:
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
We promise to keep you updated as new information is delivered to us and as we continue to find creative ways to gather as a church community.
