WELCOME

We will begin accepting applications for scholarship funds from graduating seniors in the San Ramon Valley. Students are invited to submit any form of expression that conveys “How Being FOR Others Can Change the World.” One student from each of these high schools will be granted a $3,000 scholarship: California High School, Dougherty Valley High School, Monte Vista High School and San Ramon Valley High School. CPC will be donating $12,000 in total across four scholarships.

“In January 2019, we started a community initiative called For the Valley,” said Tyler Scott, Lead Pastor of CPC. “We believe that being for others, like God is for us, can change the world.”

CPC’s inaugural scholarship program invites students to think about and express how they have been for others and how doing that can make a difference to another person. The submission can be in any of the following forms of expression: a song, a photo, a painting, a dance, a drawing, a video, a monologue, an essay or a poem.

“Our students are a vital part of our community,” said Bill Haslim, Pastor of Student Ministries at CPC. “We want to acknowledge the ways they are already making a difference in our valley, and we want to encourage and invest in their future development.”

Students wishing to apply should submit here no later than midnight on April 20, 2021 to . The FOR Scholarship team will review all the submissions and contact every applicant no later than May 6, 2021.
