FALL CONNECT EVENT:

On the weekends of August 18 & 19 and August 25 & 26, the Connect Team is reaching out to all who have not yet joined a group or found a place to serve!

Our goal for these two weekends is to help everyone get CONNECTED at CPC! And there are two great ways to get connected: #1 Get connected in a SMALL GROUP; and #2 Get connected in a SERVE OPPORTUNITY that will allow you to use your gifts to serve.

Groups are designed specifically to strengthen your faith and to develop genuine lasting relationships! It’s a place where you can connect with people of faith, rejoice together as a group in the good times and support each other in difficult times.  

CPC MEN


CPC MEN: MEN’S FRATERNITY
Wednesdays, 6-7am, CPC Sanctuary. Begins September 12
Men’s Fraternity is a place where men from every age and stage come together to hear a message from God’s Word and then group discussion. Walk-ins welcome.

BSF For MEN
Tuesday evening, 7:00pm to 8:30pm, from September through May. Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) is an independent ministry that is hosted at CPC. REGISTRATION REQUIRED

Tuesday evenings, 7:00-8:30pm, CPC campus, Room 217. Book study

CPC WOMEN

PRECEPTS
Tuesdays, 8:45-11am, CPC Sanctuary. Begins September 11
Bible Study for women of all ages. This is a woman's group that meets Tuesday mornings from 8:45-11AM (Sept-April) in the Sanctuary. Come and learn how to study the Bible for yourself! Learn how to apply God's Word in a practical way. It's not difficult--by using just a few study tools while doing your homework, God's Word will come alive in new ways. Every week you will hear in-depth teaching from Pattie Cox on the Bible passage followed by fellowship and discussion with your small group on how to apply these truths to all aspects of your life. Precepts Kids childcare program available. ONLINE REGISTRATION REQUIRED

MOTHER’S TOGETHER
Wednesdays, 9:15-11:15am, CPC Sanctuary.Begins September 12
This is a women's group that meets to seek God's wisdom through talks on parenting and personal growth. We are renewed through time of Bible study, discussion and friendship. We connect with one another by sharing and encouraging each other in this season of life. Come find friendship, love and support as we learn and grow together. We meet Wednesday mornings from 9-11:15AM (Sept-April) in the Sanctuary. Children's program available. ONLINE REGISTRATION REQUIRED

Bible Study for women of all ages. Study for Fall 2018: God of Creation - A Study of Genesis 1-11 by Jen Wilkin. Studies involve about 60-90 minutes of weekly homework. ONLINE REGISTRATION REQUIRED

AWAKENINGS
Thursdays, 6-7am, CPC Room 116. Begins September 6
We are a group of women who study God's Word together as we create bonds of friendship and support each other in prayer. This Fall, we will be utilizing a great study resource called IF:Equip, http://www.ifequip.com. You will be given instructions on how to download a free app on your phone so you can have the study material at your fingertips. 

TRANSITIONS
Fridays, 9-11:30am, CPC Room 116. Begins September 7
Life is full of transitions--some planned and some come upon us as a surprise. Our "Transitions" group is a group of women in all ages and stages of life who come together to encourage and support each other through life's turning points while deepening our faith walk through God's Word. We meet every Friday morning, 9-11:30am, CPC Room 116. Beginning on Friday, September 21st, we will enjoy Bob Goff's Everybody Always DVD study.

WOMEN’S SMALL GROUPS

WOMENS SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY: KIT KING
Sunday mornings, 10:30am-12noon, CPC Room 107
We are a group of mature women who are open to all ages. Studying the CPC Weekend Message. Walk-in’s welcome.

 

WOMEN’S SMALL GROUP: NATHALIE MANYO
Sunday evenings, 5-6:30pm, Walnut Creek
We are a group of women who meet every-other Sunday in Walnut Creek from 5-6:30pm to do a Bible Study and support and pray for each other. 

WOMEN’S SMALL GROUP: ROBERTA MOTTER/HEATHER MUNCY
Tuesday evenings, 6:30-8:30pm, Danville
We are a new group of women who will be meeting weekly to enjoy the CHASE DVD study by Jennie Allen. Space is limited

 

COUPLES / MIXED

COUPLES/MIXED GROUP: CURTIS MITCHELL and DAN LAWRENCE
2nd& 4th Sunday, 5:30-8pm, Walnut Creek. Adults in 60's, both working & retired, that meet in homes north of Danville (WC, Lafayette). Light meal/fellowship, 1 hour of Bible study/DVD study and lots of prayer time!

COUPLES/MIXED GROUP: MANNY MATTOS
Thursdays, 7:15-9pm. We are a mixed group of couples and singles, ages 40s-50s that meet local homes. Each week we dive deeper into that week's sermon.

COUPLES/MIXED GROUP: MICHAEL LIM
Wednesday’s, 1stand 3rd. 7-8:30pm. We are a group of people with mostly teen or adult children (and dogs). Rotating homes in Danville.

COUPLES SMALL GROUP: ED AND DONNA MANGUIAT
Monday evenings, 6-8pm. We rotate homes in Danville, Alamo and Pleasant Hill. We are mostly empty nesters.

PARENTS OF YOUNG KIDS: ROSSI
Sundays 4-6pm, Danville
This is a young couples group that meets on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month from 4-6pm in various homes. Our kids range from age 1 to 7 years old. We have room for a few more families.

 

CPC SENIORS: PRIMETIME


Tuesdays, 9:30am–12:30pm, CPC Multipurpose Room/Gym. Begins September 11.
Prime Time offers purpose, people, and pleasure for both seniors and volunteers in a Christ-centered community.

 

STUDENTS

WILDSIDE: MIDDLE SCHOOL
Wednesdays, 7-8:30pm, Grades 5/6 meet in CPC Room 7, Grades 7/8 meet in CPC Youth Room 20
Sundays, 9am-10:15am, Youth Room 20 (except the 1st Sunday of the month). Wildside Five-Six and Seven-Eight was created to disciple and care for our Middle School students in age-appropriate ways. 

ROCK STUDENT LIFE
Mondays, 7-9pm, Youth Room 20
ROCK is a place for high school students to belong, connect and serve. ROCK is an open and safe place for students to ask big questions and get big answers. Just show up!

YOUNG ADULTS/COLLEGE

MIXED GROUP: LEE WITBECK
Thursdays, 6:30-8:30PM, Danville
We are a bunch of post-college young folk in a variety of life stages (single, married, engaged, working, looking for work, living at home...you name it!) drawing closer to God and to each other.

MIXED GROUP: ROOTED: MICHAEL ALEXANDER
Sundays, 7:00-8:30PM, Youth Lounge, CPC
We hang out, do a book or Bible study and pray for each other. It’s a great way to find college/young adults at CPC.

YOUNG ADULTS STARTING POINT GROUP

Starting Point

STARTING POINT AT CPC--YOUR QUESTIONS AND DOUBTS ARE WELCOME HERE
Starting Point is an 8-week gathering where your questions about God turn into a conversation about faith. In a Starting Point group, you can discuss your doubts and explore the trickiest topics of faith, free from pressure and judgment. If you’re new to faith, just checking it out, or coming back to church after some time away, Starting Point is a great first step. This study is for SEEKERS, STARTERS, RETURNERS, BELIEVERS...EVERYONE! 

iCARE
Wednesdays, 6:45-8:45pm, CPC Room 116. Begins September 19
iCARE is a new class taught by CPC pastors and CPC Counseling Center therapists that is designed to equip, empower and encourage committed individuals to care for their family, friends and neighbors in difficult times. Learn about yourself and how to help others. Heidi Johnson at 925.855.1367 ext. 215.

CHRISTIAN THOUGHT: MICHAEL REDEMER
Wednesdays, 7-8:30pm, CPC Room 200. Begins September 12
Christian Thought is a class-style study for all ages and stages. This fall we will study Theology 101 - The Western Theological Tradition Series. We will explore Christianity over the past 1500 years how we should live as Christians in the modern world. Open to everyone! .

Our Guest Services Team is looking for some awesome people to help with - Coffee Team, Greeters, Ushers, Holiday & Special Events and even a few Bakers!

Missions Team
Consider joining our planning teams (Serve Day, Adopt-a-Family, etc) for 2018-2019!  You may enjoy being a liaison to one of our mission partners locally or overseas, or help plan one of our short term trips next year.
