English Handbell Choirs

Teenagers, senior citizens, and everyone in between are all encouraged to discover the joys of ringing English Handbells here at CPC.

Prime Time Ringers
This bell choir includes senior citizens, rookie ringers just learning to read music, and experienced or veteran ringers who help them learn. Aside from the necessity of a willingness to learn, there are no requirements to join this class. Each person becomes an important part of a "team" made up of rookies and veterans ringing together.

The Prime Time Ringers meet in the Sanctuary Annex on Tuesday mornings from 10 to 11 AM.

Agape Ringers English Handbell Choir
There are openings for new ringers for both teens and adults in this choir. No handbell ringing experience is necessary, but an instrumental music background is required. We will be able to help bring new ringers "up to speed", whether they've never held a bell before or are just dusting off skills they haven't used in a while. We have veteran ringers who will happily help each "rookie" phase into the choir and/or ensembles. The bell choir has an intergenerational "family feel" and the rehearsals are times of fellowship as well as times to grow in the Lord and to learn to play interesting music with chimes and handbells!

The Agape Ringers English Handbell Choir rehearsals are held in the Sanctuary Annex on Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 PM.

Handbell Ensembles
CPC also has several ensembles made up of various ringers. The ensembles meet at the convenience of their members and are always looking for additional interested experienced ringers.
