Parent Handbook 2007-2008 School Year

Our Objective: To provide a planned program of learning experiences and opportunities whereby each child may develop at their own rate in an atmosphere of Christian love and understanding.

Our Emphasis: We are concerned for the individual needs of each child. Since all children do not develop at the same rate, the program is flexible and varied. Endeavors are toward guidance, so skillfully given, that the children are hardly aware of it. We want the atmosphere to be happy and free, with complete lack of tension. However, we are not permissive; limits are set. To accomplish this emphasis, we staff in the ratio of one staff member to every five or six children. The staff ratio for 2 year olds is 1:4 or 1:3 including parent volunteers. The staff at our school is highly qualified and experienced.

Admission is given in order of receipt of application. Additional applications are put on a waiting list to fill vacancies as they occur. The preschool is operated on a non-discriminatory basis according to equal treatment and access to services without regard to religion, race, color, or ancestry. Members of the church and siblings are given priority registration periods.

Enrollment: 306 students - CPC members and community families are welcome.

Curriculum: Christian, developmental academics.

Weekly Lesson: Bible, math, music, language, nutrition, perceptual motor skills, science, Spanish.

Staff: 36 experts in their field - average time at CPP is 15 years.
