Praying For Our Church
Join Pastor Scott Farmer in his office on Wednesday mornings at 7:00 AM to pray for our church. Our prayers are particularly important during this season in the life of CPC.
“We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Romans 8:28
Please join together with the CPC Pastors and Elders in prayer for all involved in the PCUSA judicial review of the complaint to seek the Holy Spirit's wisdom and guidance; so that actions taken will reflect the character of Christ to the Glory of God the Father. Also, pray that we will soon be able to proceed with full implementation of the Terms of Dismissal.
Please add these requests to your daily prayers:
- CPC and all members of the Presbytery of SF recognize that we remain a part of the larger body of Christ
- CPC surrenders this delay to our Sovereign Lord so that we might "not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God" Philippians 4:6.
Please reflect on the following scriptures and pray as the Holy Spirit leads you:
"Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." Romans 13:8-12
"For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others." Romans 12:4
"Jesus said to him, "you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it; 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself . . . " Matthew 22:37-40
