Vote on the Terms of Dismissal
On Sunday, September 12, 2010, the San Francisco Presbytery called a meeting with the CPC Congregation to determine by vote whether or not CPC desires to request dismissal from the Presbytery of San Francisco, PC(USA), and affiliate with the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC).
Results:
- 1069 in Favor of Dismissal (95.4%)
- 50 Not in Favor of Dismissal
- 1 Abstain
- 1 Invalid
- 1121 members voted representing 63.3% of CPC’s membership, exceeding the required 50% membership to be in attendance
- 95.4% voted in favor of dismissal, exceeding the 75% required for the resolution to pass
- 94.9% family of regular CPC attendees shared interest in favor of dismissal
