eScrip Frequently Asked Questions

The holidays are right around the corner, which means buying more groceries to cook those fabulous meals for family and friends! Help CPC by learning about eScrip and signing up now!

What is eScrip?
eScrip is a program that allows Safeway to give back to their community. If you shop at Safeway and have signed up for eScrip, Safeway will donate up to 4% of your shopping total back to CPC each month.

What does it cost to join?
There is no cost to you – all contributions to CPC come directly from Safeway through eScrip to give back to the community and thank their shoppers.

Who can join?
Anyone who shops at Safeway can join, whether they shop a couple times a week or only once every few months.

How many families have joined so far?
Since the CPC program began in March 2011, 170 families have signed up to support the church.

How much money is contributed to CPC through the eScrip program?
CPC receives a direct deposit donation from eScrip/Safeway each month. Our contribution for September 2011 was $380.

What is your goal?
We would love to have at least 350 more families supporting the church through eScrip. The maximum contributions CPC can earn through the eScrip program are $25,000/year, so that is our monetary goal. We still need your help to reach our goals.

Is it hard to sign up?
No, it’s easy and takes only a few minutes.

How do I sign up?
All you need to do is send an email to our eScrip Coordinator, Kathy Dye, dyefamily4@sbcglobal.net.

Provide the following information:

• Name
• Address
• Phone number
• Safeway Club Card number

If you don’t know your Safeway Club Card number, it will just take a couple extra minutes to call Safeway’s toll free number and request it. Their Customer Service Center is open 24 hours/day, so you can call 877-723-3929 right now. You will reach an automated phone system, so press “4” for “all other issues”, then press “2” to enter your phone number. A customer service rep will answer and give you your Safeway Club Card number.
