Luke for Everyone

Questions for Sermon on
November 21-22

Thank you for joining us in our study of Luke. Our prayer is that each of you will follow the weekly readings and join together with others to discuss the questions sent to you each week in this email.  Look for our emails each Monday in preparation for the upcoming sermon the following weekend. For a PDF (printable) version of the Questions click here.

Our hope is that you will see God working in your life and in others around you and you will be able to take your next step in following Jesus.

The sermon this weekend, November 21-22 will be on Psalm 95 & Philippians 4:4-7. The questions below are to be used for your small group meeting that relates to this sermon.

1. How is God changing your life?

2. What was Thanksgiving like for you as a child?

4. What consequences came to those who “hardened their hearts’ instead of responding with worship?

5. What benefits does the psalmist experience because of his thanksgiving? Reading Philippians 4:4-7, what benefits does Paul add to those listed by the psalmist?

REFLECT
6. When is “with thanksgiving” most challenging for you to pray?

7. What is God’s wisdom in urging thanks “in everything”?

ACT
8. Write your personal Psalm of Thanksgiving for 2009 and share it with your small group.
