MONEY MATTERS

Money Matters

Managing Your Money
God's Way

Jump start your financial plan with a Biblical perspective. Here is an opportunity to be proactive with your finances and financial relationships, rather than reactive.

This class is offered each year.

Here is what people are saying about the this class:

"The class really gave us a new and better perspective on how to honor God with all that he has given us. We especially enjoyed the breakout sessions and hearing the new and different ideas that were shared. However the best thing that we got out of the class has been the change in how we talk together about money. No longer is money a topic that creates stress and conflict in our relationship. Now we concentrate on how to honor God with
what we have."

Ready for a Coach?
Here are a few things you can expect from a Money Matters Coaching Session.
1. Coaching Process
bullet Married couples should plan on attending together, otherwise very little can be accomplished.
bullet The coach will discuss biblical stewardship and will explain what God expects from His children. Our coaches are serving under the authority of their local church.
bullet The coach will assist you in evaluating your present spending pattern and help you work towards a balanced spending plan.
bullet

Once the spending plan is agreed upon, the coach will act as an accountability partner with you and will inform you of other studies that will enhance your understanding of biblical stewardship.

2 Information Needed
bullet

You will be asked to fill out a questionnaire and some financial worksheets before you meet with a coach. You may be asked to bring your checkbook register, income tax forms, paycheck stubs, bank statements, current bills, or other related information.

3. Meeting Location
bullet You will, most likely, be asked to meet in a neutral location where there are very few distractions and where there is sufficient table space to work on your budget. Many times coaches will use their local church.
4. Session Length
bullet Your first session will run between 1½ and 2 hours. Subsequent sessions should run a little over an hour.  You may meet only once or twice, but most times you meet about five or six.

The Money Map coaching referral service is a lay ministry of the volunteer coach, the local church, and Crown Ministries. There is no fee for this service. Our coaches are volunteers who have completed our coach training and desire to assist God’s people in setting up a budget and learning how to honor the Lord with their finances. Topics like investing, insurance, financial planning, and other related areas are not covered, other than to include these categories in a written spending plan if needed. If you are specifically looking for this type of help, we suggest that you contact a professional near you. If you decide to contact CCCS of Atlanta and begin a debt management plan there will be a nominal set-up fee.
