Each Friday we will meet 7:00-9:00 pm

And Saturday, September 18th for the The Great Tribal Council and BBQ!

This fun-filled program is for married couples of all ages! The only qualifier is that you want to have a great summer with your spouse!

Want to know what you’re playing for? Each evening will be focused on a theme that will enrich your marriage. You will be ‘challenged’ to carry that theme into your dating experiences throughout the month.

June: The Play Challenge (PDF)
July: The Health Challenge (PDF)
August : The Intimacy Challenge

We will also be having some fun survivor team activities each night and some great desserts to match the night’s theme! Dessert and fellowship in the courtyard from 7:00-7:30 pm will be followed by the gathering of the tribes in the Multi-Purpose Room from 7:30-9:00 pm. No childcare will be provided this year so start to plan your monthly babysitting now!

This is a great opportunity to invite your non-CPC friends and neighbors! And . . it’s only $25.00 per couple for the whole summer including the Final Tribal Council barbecue! So make a date with your mate, have some fun, and enrich your marriage this summer!

Are you ready for the challenge?

Still have questions? FAQs about the Survivor Edition

1. What will happen on the nights we gather at CPC for our tribal gatherings? Couples will enjoy dessert and fellowship in the courtyard from 7:00-7:30pm. We will then ‘arrive on the island’ (go into the Multi-Purpose Room) where we will have some ‘Survivor’ team building fun, hear an inspirational talk related to our theme for the night, enjoy a ‘Marital Council’ time, and receive our challenges for the month. 7:30-9:00pm.

2. What are the ‘challenges’? Couples will receive all kinds of opportunities and suggestions about how to have fun adventures together related to the theme of the month. They will receive points for each of these challenges as well as any others they may create together. Prizes will be awarded to couples who earn the most points as well as the team who earns the most combined points of couples on their team.

3. What are the themes for each month? In June we will have ‘The Play Challenge’. Couples will be encouraged to play together. Whether you are a board game couple or a white water rafting couple, you will receive lots of ideas for rejuvenating your playful life together. In July we will have ‘The Health Challenge’. Couples will be inspired to focus on their physical and spiritual health. Again, they will receive loads of ideas about how to get those bodies in good shape and take in what’s good for the soul. In August we focus on ‘The Intimacy Challenge’. This month we’ll give you some great ideas on how to keep those sexual sparks alive and grow in intimate connection at every level.

4. Is there any childcare? Unfortunately, no. We are having the dates monthly in hopes that you will be able to arrange childcare in advance. Since we are going to be going till 9:00pm, younger kiddos will likely want to hit the hay earlier than that so consider it a ‘night out’ for mom and dad. However, your tribe may earn points for thinking of creative ways to provide childcare for the dates you will be wanting to enjoy throughout the summer!

5. What is the Grand Tribal Council Barbecue on September 18th? We thought it would be fun to celebrate together all the adventures we had and to award prizes that night. We will have an amazing slide show of all the adventures and challenges from the summer plus some great food! Don’t worry, nobody gets voted off the island!

6. What does my $25.00 per couple cover? All the desserts for the 3 tribal gatherings and the dinner at the Grand Tribal Barbecue.

7. How do I register? You can go online to www.cpcdanville.org and click on the icon for ‘The Great Dates Challenge: Survivor Edition and you will be able to select a link to register and to receive more information.

8. Can I invite my friends and neighbors? Absolutely! This is a perfect opportunity to invite couples you know to join in the fun.

9. Will we be getting discounts at restaurants like we have in our previous Great Dates programs? We will be planning much more than just restaurants. We will be getting discounts for all sorts of activities and don’t be surprised if during our ‘Intimacy Challenge’ we don’t have some romantic spots to snuggle and enjoy some fine cuisine!
