The Marriage and Family Ministry’s purpose is to strengthen and empower couples and families to live out the character of Christ in their relationships to one another and to the world.  We seek to help couples at all stages of married life grow deeper in committed love and enjoy ever-increasing friendship and intimacy.  We are dedicated to helping build families where Christ’s love informs parenting practices and permeates daily family relationships.

MARRIAGE MENTORING

Marriage Alive

Building strong marriages from one couple to another

The mission of Marriage Mentoring is to pair older couples who enjoy thriving Christian marriages with younger couples for the purpose of walking alongside and encouraging them to develop loving, Christ-centered marriages.  Mentors are trained to work with younger couples to prepare them for marriage, to maximize young but stable marriages, and to aid couples in the process of healing and repair.

Our mentoring verse:  ‘We love you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.”  I Thess. 2:8

To request a Mentor couple, please contact Laura Taggart at laura@cpcdanville.org.

Equipping parents to raise great kids

Marriage and Family Ministries seeks to equip parents for the awesome task of raising children who have a healthy view of themselves, God, and the world in which they live.  To this end, ‘Got Kids’, a five-week course is provided annually to help parents in this most important life responsibility.
