Welcome to Focused Living
New Session Will Begin in September
Focused Living is a Bible Study for women of all ages. Our time together includes worship, teaching and small group time with fellowship, discussion and prayer support. We are also involved with various community outreach and mission projects throughout the year.
We are currently on break for the summer, but we will resume on September 9th with 2 wonderful studies for 2010-11. To reserve a spot, see our pre-registration contact information below.
Classes will meet at CPC from 9:00 to 11:15 AM on Thursdays. Both studies will involve about 1 hour of weekly homework and during our time together each week we will worship, view video presentations by the authors, and discuss the studies in our small groups.
Children (nursery to kindergarten) may attend our fabulous Bible Playhouse program while you attend the study. |

In September 2010 we will begin Jennifer Kennedy Dean’s study "Live a Praying Life: Open Your Life to God’s Power and Provision."
This 13-week study goes back to the biblical basics of prayer, cleaning out myths about prayer to rev up a powerful, ongoing connection to God that can invigorate every aspect of a Christian’s life. |
The author tackles the complex theological questions: If God is sovereign, why pray? If prayer is not a way to change God’s mind, what is it? It’s a way, she illustrates, for God to send His power and provision into the world through His people. The study takes a detailed look at prayer’s purpose, process, promise and practice. |

In January 2011, we will begin our second study, "Me, Myself and Lies: A Thought Closet Makeover," by Jennifer Rothschild.
This Bible study encourages women to clean out the junk in their minds and replace hidden negative thoughts with positive truths from God's word. Words are powerful. Especially the words women speak to themselves. |
| All too often, what they say to themselves when they lie in bed at night or look in the mirror in the morning is not even close to the words God wants them to speak to their souls. According to Rothschild, what we think about often has a ripple effect on nearly every area of our lives. |
